What ages is this activity day designed for?
We cater for people of all ages and abilities. If you are not sure or would like to ask a specific question then please get in touch via our website - www.theomnibusproject.co.uk
Do you have disabled access?
Yes the floor at the back of the building is on the level so that wheelchair users can access the building - come around the left hand side of the building and you will see our disabled access. (Please note there is a step at the front of the building)
Do you have toilet facilities?
Yes, we have an all access toilet with hoist and changing bed as well as a baby changing table
Can we bring our own drinks and refreshments?
Yes of course, if you are staying for an event which runs over lunchtime we encourage you to bring your own packed lunch or money to go out to the local services to get something. There is a McDonalds, Costa, Subway, Thai Noodles, Café and Asda Mini Market about 5 minutes away by car or other shops in the local villages
What staff support is available?
Our staff and volunteers are trained in the use of various communication systems including Makaton sign language, symbols, and other SALT methods such as PECS and communication aids. If you would like us to prepare resources in advance of your visit please let us know
Do I have to stay for the whole session?
No, we understand that sessions can be challenging for some of our visitors especially if this is their first visit with us. You are welcome to come and go as you like and please never worry if your visitor is upset and needs some time to calm. Staff and volunteers are on hand to support as needed (we will be led by you as to what support this might be) and not to judge
Where is the event taking place?
The Omnibus Project, 6 Crossways Business Park, Canterbury Road, St. Nicholas at Wade, Kent CT7 0AA
Can I get there using public transport?
Yes, we are on the bus route which leads to Canterbury and there are bus stops very close to the site on both sides of the road
Is there parking?
Yes, we have a free car park but on busy days spaces may be limited. Disabled parking is ANY space on site, you do not need to use a blue badge
